Honing Stone with abrasives particles with continuous surface contact between the tool and workpiece are used to optimize the dimension, form and surface of pre-machined workpieces.

Honing Stone is an abrasives machining process. Honing tools with abrasives particles with continuous surface contact between the tool and workpiece are used to optimize the dimension, form and surface of pre-machined workpieces. The honing process is a special grinding process, which can removal quite big amount of materials, and improved workpiece geometry accuracy and surface finish.

Application:

Metal Bond :
Suitable for honing workpieces, of all types of iron castings (cast iron, annealed cast iron and some cast steels). Cylinder liners for internal combustion engines are typical examples.
Electroplated Bond:
Suitable for honing steel, e.g.machining steel, ball bearing steel, tool steel and alloy steel in all hardness conditions;
